The CREST Relaxation Day was here and
we had over 145 people eager to register at the booking
in desk at Manor Mead School in Shepperton. As you can
imagine it was rather hectic and hard work but it was
all worth it when the feedback forms came in!
Some of the comments made were:
We had some new workshops this year, namely "Arts
and Crafts" and "Wine and Beer Making"
which was well attended and enjoyed by all. There was
even a tasting session of a very good Red during the
workshop!
The lunch was outstanding as the comments said, the
variety of food was delicious and so tasty, some people's
plates were piled high so it was obviously good!
The teams of volunteers worked hard all day, from supplying
tea/coffee to making sure the raffle ran smoothly -
a superb collection made possible by generous people
donating them. Two guys were very lucky and one had
over 5 prizes (and gave them all back to CREST to re-draw)
and another guy won over 10 and he passed his tickets
around for others to enjoy the prizes which was a lovely
thought on his behalf.
All in all it was an amazing day for people affected
by cancer, as we said the feedback was excellent and
if you want to experience it all next time, then contact
us now for more details.
The last event got a good write up in
the local press (see below)
